A&E performance drops in Antrim Hospital during July, this was the first test of new A&E and of Northern Health & Social Care Trust bosses Mary Hinds & Paul Cummings and they both have fell at the first hurdle.

11 June 3013 With permission Mr Speaker, I wish to make a Statement to the Assembly on the report of the Turnaround and Support Team on the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. As Members will recall I made a Written Statement to this House on 10 December 2012 on the appointment of a small Turnaround and Support Team to the Northern Health and Social Care Trust to complete a strategic overview to establish what changes and support might be required to accelerate progress at the Trust. The Team was asked to provide an assessment of the changes required to improve performance, and to support the management of the Trust in the delivery of services. "Antrim Hospital is still in a state of escalation, this has been since December 2012, Mary Hinds stated at Trust Board meeting that new A&E will not slove the current A&E crisis in Antrim" Save The MidAntrim A&E still failing to see 95% of patients in under 8 hours in A&E, DHSSPS target is 95% of patinets should be admeitted or discharged in under 4 hoursAlso See:
